We’re seeking a visionary Creative Director to lead our projects at the intersection of creative technology, new media art, and immersive experiences. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our creative and technical teams to ideate, design, and deliver groundbreaking interactive content. Responsibilities
- Creative Vision & Leadership: Define and drive the creative direction for select Volvox Labs’ projects utilizing our distinct aesthetic and vision
- Hands-On Production: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop compelling storyboards, concepts, and visual narratives that bring ideas to life.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Leadership along with the Production, Content, Physical, and Technology teams to integrate creative strategies into project plans, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Client Engagement: Articulate and present creative concepts to clients and stakeholders, transforming visions into engaging immersive experiences.
- Mentorship: Guide and inspire the team, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment that fuels innovation.
- Trend Exploration: Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in design, motion graphics, and immersive media to continually enhance our creative output.
- Project Oversight: Manage segments of the creative process from concept through execution, ensuring quality, consistency, and creative excellence.
Requirements
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading creative teams and projects in creative technology, new media art, or interactive immersive experiences.
- Hands-On Expertise: A robust portfolio showcasing your ability to conceptualize and execute visually compelling projects, with a strong foundation in design and motion.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Creative Director role at an agency or studio
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in digital design tools; proficiency with Adobe Suite is required, along with the capacity to develop in softwareai like Houdini, C4D and TouchDesigner.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience directing interactive installations, CG projects, or similar digital media productions. An understanding of production techniques and client needs is essential.
- Effective Communication: Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly convey creative ideas to diverse audiences.
- Process-Driven: Ability to balance creative ambition with project constraints, ensuring innovative work is delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Experience: Relevant experience in experiential media and commercial projects is preferred.
